Netflix takes a stab at reinventing the popular franchise of Resident Evil. With a storyline that takes the story to the U.K. some 3 decades in the future. With some early explanation about how the virus mutates in the bodies of its hosts and when blended with animals or insects can create some hideous mutations. With a story being told jumping from the past to the future with seemingly no continuity, this series is a little hard to follow. Now being a huge fan of the first movie, my patience for this franchise is on thin ice. There are glimmers of hope with this show, but I am afraid the fans will not be as supportive and it would be a surprise to see a season two with the heavy ax that Netflix wields when shows are not instant successes.
