Halle Berry directs a gritty mixed martial arts movie that has some rage and fire. This one is a silent gem of a movie. In the feel of a Stallone Rocky or Rourke Wrestler, this one shows the dark side of female mixed martial arts fighters and the agony they endure out of the ring. Halle, is finding some dark material, and transforming herself into the lead character, and it's way more than method acting. The fight scenes are fantastic, and the drama of the characters pulls you in. One thing I can never understand is why there is so much profanity in music. This would have been just as good without all that swearing. That aside, this one has some grit and is worth a watch. Halle Berry directs and stars and does a magnificent job.
