Follow-up series to 'Vikings' set 100 years afterward and centering on the adventures of Leif Erikson, Freydis, Harald Hardrada, and the Norman King William the Conqueror.
What a great follow-up to a terrific series. Takes place 100 years later and the carnage picks up, right in the first episode. The fighting is fierce like in the original series, but you do not need to have watched the first series to enjoy this one. If you have seen it, it adds a layer of dimension that is neat, but in no way is it needed. Complex story weaving and misdirection is an element that is carried forward from the original series, and it will be interesting to see if this one can hold the attention of its huge audience. Sometimes a premise can lose its luster when the show has been on the air for a decade already. Time will tell. Vikings were pretty hot before the pandemic, so we will see if this one has some legs. I for one will be watching. Let me know what you think.
