Why is the future always scary? The Tomorrow War (2021) - Review

A family man is drafted to fight in a future war where the fate of humanity relies on his ability to confront the past.

This is a great movie. Sure there are some plot holes. There are plot holes in any movie that uses time travel as a plot point. What I like about this movie is, if you pay attention to the dialog, they answer most of the plot holes in the back and forth dialog. The problem most critics have with this movie is that they missed that dialog. One of the biggest things people say is if you have a time machine why cant you just go back to before the event and prepare for it. The dialog explains why this won't work, you just have to pay attention. The only thing that got to me after a while was the surprise sacrifices by characters. If it happens once in a movie you are surprised and it is awesome....when it happens more than once then you are almost waiting for it and all the previous sacrifices now dont mean as much.

I am really starting to like Chris Pratt in these action movies. Loved him in the Jurrasic World movies, and now this one just solidifies him as a great action hero.

I was very impressed with the director Chris Mckay. Here is a guy with almost no prior big-budget directing experience except for the Lego Batman movie. I will be watching this guy in the future. This one has to go on your list to watch.
