What are you doing Carol? Superintelligence (2020) - Review
Nothing extraordinary ever happens to Carol Peters, so when she starts getting snarky backtalk from her TV, phone and microwave, she thinks she's being punk'd. Or losing her mind. In fact, the world's first super-intelligence has selected her for observation, taking over her life with a bigger, more ominous plan to take over everything. Now Carol is humanity's last chance before this artificial intelligence-with-an-attitude decides to pull the plug.
Melissa McCarthy plays Carol and is the most normal person on the planet in this comedy. A rouge computer program hellbent on either saving or destroying the human race, takes on the task of researching the most normal person on earth in the hopes of making a decision on whether the human race is worth saving, or if it should be damned into extinction. This one had some very funny sections that had me laughing right out loud, but there were lots more sections that seemed forced and had the traditional one liners or improved filming that was a little too unrehearsed. I would only recommend this one if you are out of stuff to watch and need something new until the next big thing comes out. Let me know what you think.
