From time to time it is great to re-watch older movies that I enjoyed. I miss watching TV and seeing a movie starting and trying to figure out what the movie is just by watching the opening few seconds of the movie. It was a game we played, and more often than not, we ended up watching the movie afterward. Here are a few movies I enjoyed again over the weekend.

The Matrix (1999)
What can you really say about this movie. It was a turning point in cinema? It was what every Sci-Fi movie could be rated against? It was funny how Keannu had so few lines but it worked better because he did? ALL YES. This is one of my favorite movies of the 90's by far. This gave Hollywood a new bar when it came to computer age movie making. Just think, we get to see more of these movies soon. Matrix 4 is in development now. I for one am eagerly awaiting it.

Heat (1995)
The star power in this film is amazing. Its interesting to see the actors and actresses that stared in this movie that may have been overlooked at the time. One of the reasons I love going back to older movies on the weekends to reminisce and to freak myself out that so much time has passed since that movie came out. Al Pacino and Robert De Niro are great as always, but Val Kilmer and Tom Sizemore, Ashley Judd, Natalie Portman, and Jon Voight are also in this film. Mann is a great action director. The characters are well built and the dialog between Pacino and De Niro is fantastic. Well worth a re-watch.
