This is a gritty violent portrayal of the middle ages and the horror that life was at the time. Conspiring rulers and knights, backstabbing soldiers, and ordinary people used as fodder in high-stakes politics. I loved the grittiness of this movie. Be prepared for violence in an extreme level. Reminded me of Braveheart for the violence. If you are a fan of the middle ages, then add this one to your list. You will not be disappointed. I am amazed that we as a human race survived this point in history. We were so horrible to each other. This movie outlines the worst in people and how you can still choose to do what is right in the end. Check it out and let me know what you think.
