The series takes place after the events of the film Avengers: Endgame (2019), in which an alternate version of Loki created a new timeline.

Well, the first episode is out, and I am loving what they are doing so far. They have merged the movies and show so seamlessly that we are really getting an extension of the movie universe on the small screen. Disney has done a great job for the fans in building a universe that pulls in a lot of content from the comics but evolves it into a new shape for the fans that know the story already and adds in some surprises along the way. Loki is a character that you love to hate. Someone you hope will be redeemed but you expect to double-cross, so it's exciting to see him come up against a force like the Time Variance Authority. Where his powers are useless, and he only has his wit and charm to help him escape....or will he team up with the TVA to aid in the capture of the biggest time-variant villain to date...Loki himself.

I can't wait to see where this show goes, and how it ties into the bigger universe of Marvel. The clues dropped already show it has implications for future movies like "the Eternals", "Spider-Man: No Way Home", and "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" Will Loki set the stage for Phase 4 of the Marvel franchise? It seems so after just the first episode. If you are a Marvel or Superhero fan this is a must-watch show.
