The beginning for Tony - The Many Saints of Newark (2021) - Review

Witness the making of Tony Soprano. The story reveals the humanity behind Tony's struggles and the influence his family - especially his uncle, Dickie Moltisanti - had over him becoming the most iconic mob boss of all time.

For all you Sopranos fans, this is the movie you have been waiting for. With lots of the show's cast returning for small roles, this one sets up the show and shows you how the family made Tony Soprano. Not so much in his coming out, but the stories and people that he watched and looked up to in his youth, molding him into the person he would become. I think this one needs a follow-up to show how he becomes the crime boss and not just a mob story with his character in the background. Mob movies are always violet and gruesome, and this one is no different. If you have been starved for the Soprano stories, this one will quench the thirst for a little while. Let me know what you thought.
