Superhero fatigue? Morbius (2021) - Review

Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success soon reveals itself to be a remedy potentially worse than the disease.

In one of the most overamped and underdelivered superhero movies, Morbius is not as bad as everyone is saying it is. The trouble I had with this one, is I just didn’t care about the characters. The story was an open book with no real character development. We are supposed to care about these people with no real evidence or reason, and when things go wrong the audience is supposed to be sympathetic, but you never feel that way. The villain in the story was so evident right from the beginning that it was not a surprise at all, and the special effects seemed simple compared to what is available. It's not a disappointing movie other than you know the story from the commercials and there is nothing more you get out of watching the film that the commercials didn't cover. SONY you need to do better to keep pace with MARVEL.
