Santa Claus must contend with a hit-man sent from a disappointed child after receiving coal for Christmas.
It is a dark Christmas in this black comedy involving the fatman and the hit-man. I really enjoyed this different take on the holidays. Things have gotten really bad for Santa and Mrs. Claus. When a rich kid gets coal in his Christmas gift from Santa, he hires a bitter hit-man to take Santa out. This dark comedy had a great cast, with Mel Gibson playing Santa, and Walter Groggins playing the hit-man. Groggins in delightfully evil, and Gibson plays the best grumpy Santa ever. This is not a family movie at all. Its a dark action comedy. The mood is bleak, and the tone of the film is misery and disappointment. I thought it was a smart little movie. Be strongly advised this is different then you think, but if you give it a try, you may just like it. Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase...He knows when you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake.
