Sinkhole to another world...or is it? La Brea (2021) Series - Review

A massive sinkhole mysteriously opens up in Los Angeles, separating part of a family in an unexplainable primeval world, alongside a desperate group of strangers.

I am all for more SciFi tv shows, but this one I am not sure will survive. The premise is ok, but it jumps right into the story in episode one but has some questions about things that are not explained very well. When the story plays out I hope they fill in the gaps with some of the backstory and reasoning behind the chaotic storylines' first episode. I will be watching this one over the course of the first season to see if it is able to gain some footing and clear up the unbelievable first few ideas. The father's visions being the biggest thing the audience has to swallow right away. The chaotic pace at which the survivors adapt to their new environment is also a little frustrating. I have my hopes high, but things are not looking good so far for a season 2. It's too bad because I usually am a fan of most things Natalie Zea is a part of.
