After receiving life-altering news, a couple finds unexpected support from their best friend, who puts his own life on hold and moves into their family home, bringing an impact much greater and more profound than anyone could have imagined.
This was a great look at how a person can be a help to a family in need. This is an incredibly sad movie. What gives this story so much power right now, is the compassion and love you feel from this friend of the family. You just can't imagine the pain and hardship that can be tolerated when you have people like this in your life. Be prepared to tear up in this one, but its worth a watch. It will be hard at times because the emotions of all the actors are felt in this film. The movie is based on the Esquire story ‘The Friend.’ Its worth a read once you watch the movie.
