Based on the books by Lee Child, and the movies with Tom Cruise, Reacher is back for his TV series. Alan Ritchson has taken over the role and does a great job living up to the name Reacher. The biggest difference from the Tom Cruise movie versions is the size of Alan. He is a big boy. This in some ways makes some of the scenes great and some of the scenes simply silly, when teenage boys try to rough Reacher up before he retires in his Motel room one episode. The action is good and the tempo works well, but my biggest beef with this show was the casting. Some of the characters just don't fit. You notice this whenever someone tries to stand up to Reacher on the show. I feel like none of these people would have stood up to Alan Ritchson this way in life so it makes it rather silly on the show. But putting those points aside and watching it for the action scenes and the endless amount of bad guys that want to be punished by this hulk has not got boring in season one. For this show to survive though I feel they need to add more than just fight scene after fight scene. Eventually, there will need to be a story to hold an audience.
