In an alternative 1969, the world, and especially the United States, watch in shock as the Soviet Union successfully manages to land men on the Moon before the USA does. With that defeat, NASA is presented with a renewed challenge in the space race that they never expected to face. Now, the cold war rivalry takes on a new intensity and grander ambition to reach far further than ever dreamed and with more diverse resources than ever before.
This is one I have been waiting for. The start of season 2. If you are not caught up on season one, take some time to try out this show. The premise - If things were slightly different in the space race 60 years ago, how would the United States look today. This is a great imagining of an alternate reality if the Americans had lost the space race. Season 2 advances the story 10 years to the height of the cold war with Russia. Things are taking a turn for the worse when the astronauts have to deal with rising tensions between the nations. War is inevitable, but what will that look like in this alternate reality? Well written story and characters and the actors do a wonderful job, this is a great show. Looking forward to seeing this season play out. I would recommend adding it to your list.
