A young convict joins a firefighting program looking for redemption and a shortened prison sentence, he and other inmates work alongside elite firefighters to extinguish massive blazes across the region.
This is another prime-time soap opera wrapped up in what is supposed to be a drama. The pilot set up how this show will take you through a bunch of soap opera scenarios with the backdrop of firefighters. Like other shows like Chicago Fire, and Station 19, this is nothing new. The big twist is the main character is a Con trying to reform, and is forced back to his small-time home doing rehab work on the firefighting team. I don't see this one breaking any streaming records, but will keep an eye on it for the first season. CBS is getting pretty woke, so I anticipate this show will be filled with that ideology so brace yourself for the ride. If you like prime-time soaps, you will like this one.
