Over and Over again - Infinite (2021) Review

A sci-fi, action adaption that examines the concept of reincarnation through remarkable visuals and well-established characters who need to use their memories and past learned skills to ensure the future is protected from Infinites that seek to end all life on the planet.

This movie is good for shutting off your brain from the outside world. Now that being said, it is not without its flaws. First, they jump into the explanations of things way too fast. Almost forgetting to try and convince the audience that this is a new concept, but it feels more like they assume you are ok with the fact that some people just remember past lives and then move on. I felt that was a little rushed. Second and maybe the biggest issue of the movie. If the reincarnated Mark Walburg, is the only person that knows where the doomsday device is hidden, and he can't remember his past...wouldn't it make more sense for the heroes of the movie to keep his memory the way it is and not try to remind him or even better just kill him again, so there are another 20 years of no one finding the device. I thought the story could have been written so much better.

Conversely, this movie had some great action scenes. Opens with a great car chase scene and the jailbreak was fun to watch. If you can get by the bad storytelling and just enjoy the action you will be entertained. By next week you will have forgotten you watched this one though.
