In the near future, a manned spacecraft is sent to Mars. For this high-stakes mission, a crew of elite astronauts are assembled from around the globe. They hail from the United States, Russia, China, India, and Great Britain. If all goes well, they will be away from the place they call home and the people they love for three years. During this time, their relationships both on Earth and in space will be tested, as they struggle to stay alive and stay on track in pursuit of humanity's most important goal. The world will be watching.
From the visionary who brought you Friday Night Lights and Parenthood comes an epic, emotional story of love and sacrifice, starring two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank.

Was the story complete?
This is a great new drama that I was happy to find. It brings back memories of the old majesty of space exploration and the terror involved with every action the crew takes. The story is told around the crew that is embarking on a journey to Mars, with all the drama related around the families of the crew and the interaction of the multi nations involved in the endeavor. With each crew member bringing their own complexities to the group dynamic, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Well worth your time if you ever thought you would like to go into space.
Was there a lot of swearing?
There was some but it is not overpowering.
Would I recommend it?
Definitely check out this one. It is not an action story, but there is still some thrilling moments. This one is more about the characters and their story with the backdrop being the trip to Mars. Let me know what you think of this one.
Update:
Seems that Netflix has cancelled this series due to budget constraints due to COVID. Its too bad, because this series was really good.
