Mother may I - I Am Mother (2019) - Review

Updated: Oct 2, 2020

In the wake of humanity's extinction, a teenage girl is raised by a robot designed to repopulate the earth. But their unique bond is threatened when an inexplicable stranger arrives with alarming news.

This one was an Interesting view of a bleak dystopian future. Humans are all but extinct and the world has one last chance. One child is being raised by android in a robust in a underground facility. This is another movie that had such great potential that left me wanting just a little more. The story moves slow but has an eeriness about it. Was twice as ominous as I watched it late at night with all the lights out. The pace is slow and the mood dark but I had to see how it ended.

Would I recommend?

If you can stand the slow pace it's worth a watch. Loved the open ending and dark twist. I have always said about Hollywood, if you cant see the death it didn't happen.

6.5/10
