Good-natured but eccentric community volunteer Hubie Dubois finds himself at the center of a real murder case on Halloween night. Despite his devotion to his hometown of Salem, Massachusetts (and its legendary Halloween celebration), Hubie is a figure of mockery for kids and adults alike.

Adam Sandler is a hit or miss actor. You either love the movie or you hate it. This was a swing and a miss for me. Every person Sandler has acted with in the past is in this movie it seems. It's a cute story but the humor is tired and old. If you liked his movies like Billy Madison you may like this one.
