I like surprises like this one. I did not have any idea this one was coming, but having no expectations sometimes helps with the satisfaction of a new movie. This one kind of reminded me of Bird Box. A protective mother that is hellbent on protecting her kids after an apocalyptic event happens that is sure to kill everyone in a few short days. Her daughter is immune to what is happening which is wonderful and horrifying at the same time. Protecting her becomes the only thing. There are some faces that you will recognize in this one, but as usual, Netflix has a way of finding new talented actors for their films. Barry Pepper has a small role, and I like almost everything he is in so I was optimistic as soon as I saw him. The movie will hold your attention all the way through. I did feel like it needed one more chapter to feel complete. Who knows...maybe there will be a sequel. Nowadays it seems to be the norm. If you need something new to watch. Check this one out. You will not be disappointed.
