An action western about a farmer who takes in an injured man with a satchel of cash. When a posse comes for the money, he must decide who to trust. Defending a siege, he reveals a gunslinging talent calling his true identity into question.
I do love a good Western. This one starts off slow but gets good about halfway through. It doesn’t have a lot of surprises, but Westerns rarely do. This one kind of reminded me a little of Unforgiven. The cast does not have the big names and the budget is nowhere near the same, but the slow burn of this movie crescendos at the right time for the big reveal at the end. Flawed heroes are always the best. Sometimes it's best to just leave the old-timers alone, before you wake the bear, and find out it's too late. Let me know your thoughts.
