A Western journalist working for a publication in Tokyo takes on one of the city's most powerful crime bosses.
This is a smart little drama about following a westerner in Japan trying to make it as a crime reporter. It deals with all the normal stereotypes about a fish out of water trying to fit into a culture that does want him there no matter how qualified he is. I was a little surprised by this one mostly because I did not see any advertising for it before it came out. Chow Yun-fat is in a lot of movies that I love so I will be watching this one to see where it goes. If you are looking for a cultural drama then this one might be right up your alley. It starts off slow so give it a chance to crescendo. Let me know what you think.
