A group of young adults, who meet online, get a hold of a cult underground graphic novel, which not only pins them as a target of a shadowy deep state organization, but also burdens them with the dangerous task of saving the world.

If you ever had a dream, that was twisted and warped. This is Utopia. In an effort to create a new story with twists and turns, carnage and death that differs from the original, Gillian Flynn has crafted a new version of an already great idea. This is not for the faint of heart. Themes of evil, are sprinkled throughout this first season. There is a lot of death and misery in this story, but the exhausting near death roller coaster ride the heroes are on is gripping for the viewer.
Would I recommend?
This is one I highly recommend if you are not squeamish. There is a lot of death, torture, and uncomfortable themes. If you can get by that, the story has some great twists, unexpected turns, and will keep you guessing as you try to decipher the hidden meanings in Utopia. Just like the heroes are trying to decipher the comic the viewer is trying to decipher the show. Very well done Amazon.
