Leif is left with a conditional inheritance when his estranged mother Honey dies. Before he can move into her picturesque Yosemite cabin, he has to complete her elaborate, and sometimes dubious, to-do list.

Jake Johnson has been doing deadpan comedy for a while now, and I really like his style. This is a clever little film that puts Lief (Jake Johnson) through a little trial by fire as he is expected to complete a list of tasks laid out by his Mother before he can receive his inheritance. This movie took some hard topics and made them lighter and Jake Johnson succeeded in being this abandoned child of a man coming to grips with his emotions over his Mother leaving and dying. The movie had a great supporting cast of D'Arcy Carden, J.K. Simmons, and Susan Sarandon that really helped with the light-hearted humor in an otherwise dark and bleak situation. I liked this one. Let me know what you think.
