Can you read my mind? - Possessor (2020) - Review

Tasya Vos is a corporate agent who uses brain-implant technology to inhabit other people's bodies, driving them to commit assassinations for the benefit of the company. While she has a special gift for the work, her experiences on these jobs have caused a dramatic change in her, and in her own life she struggles to suppress violent memories and urges. As her mental strain intensifies, she begins to lose control, and soon she finds herself trapped in the mind of a man whose identity threatens to obliterate her own.

What is you could become an assassin using someone else's body. Brain implants give you this ability in this movie. What if the person you were controlling, was able to take back control, and turn that power on you? This movie explores this premise, and all the carnage and blood that go along with it. In a very visceral display of carnage we see this play out. The plot creeps along and when the takeovers happen the death is often displayed in its full glory of red. Not for the faint of heart. This one left me wanting as the ending was not very fulfilling. I feel like some directors are trying to push new boundaries but forget the most important part....the story. If you like carnage give it a watch, but if you require a good story, this one is a miss.
