Upon escaping after decades of imprisonment by a mortal wizard, Dream, the personification of dreams, sets about to reclaim his lost equipment.
With the extreme wait that fans have had for this show to be made, its debut was met with underwhelming fanfare. The special effects in the premiere were reminiscent of the Scorpion King in the Mummy Franchise or the Darkman franchise. With the high standards that viewers have nowadays for their CGI, I think this show fell way short of what it could have been. The intro to The Outer Limits TV show had a better encapsulation of dreams than this one. Fans will try to keep this one going like they did the Lucifer TB show, but with a confusing first few episodes, and without reading the source material, most new watchers will not be able to follow the story or relate to the main characters enough to care where the story goes. I would be surprised to see a season 2.
