Writer's picture: Dan BrooksDan Brooks

When a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.

This is the movie of the year for me. Jason Reitman does his father proud by creating a sequel to one of the best movies from the 80's Ghostbusters. This nostalgia-filled wonder has the 80's feel and looks but a current timeline. Everything made you feel like you were back with the original cast in the original movie. There were a lot of things in the background story that seemed a little weird and made you think that it could have been written a little better didn't matter in the end, and even though you know exactly what is going to happen, you still want to watch it and felt good. So many of the things that you really were hoping happened came true and Reitman did the fans proud in this wonderful homage to his father. This for me is the best movie of the year. Brought me back to my favorite decade in movie making...the 80's. If you get a chance, don't let this one slip by. It's a must-watch.
