I love finding unique and interesting new shows. This one combines a few topics that seem to be en vogue at the moment. An apocalyptic world being devastated by a virus, and an emerging new race of mutants that are hated by humans. In most of these doomsday shows it's more about the people than the situations but having the backdrop be something that we are living through mixed with some fantasy elements is a good take. This show has some notable actors that I like from other work. Nonso Anozie from the Zoo series and Artemis Fowl, and Adeel Akhtar from the original Utopia series jump to mind. Christian Convery does a great job in the lead child role. Getting a chance to play the lead he is doing a fantastic job. This is a series I suggest fans of Carnival Row check out. The dystopian future holds a bleak view of humanity, and from what I have seen in the last few years of the pandemic, could be our future if we don't smarten up. If you are a fan of apocalyptic shows, add this one to your list. You will not be disappointed.
