The African monarch Akeem learns he has a long-lost son in the United States and must return to America to meet this unexpected heir and build a relationship with his son.
Well, it's time for another sequel. This time Eddie Murphy returns to the screen with almost the entire cast of the original movie wanting to recapture some of the success of the first movie. I am not sure it delivered on all fronts, but there were some interesting highlights in this film. Wesley Snipes does a great job with his character General Izzi. Adding a new element of humor to this chaotic movie. With a bunch of returning themes and homages to the first movie, I feel like they tried too hard to include all the characters from the first movie rather than have a unique story to draw from. There are parts that will make you laugh so it's not all bad, but there are parts that will definitely make you question why you are watching this movie. When you run out of titles to watch you may find it mildly amusing, but don't rush out to watch it. If you do watch it, I am curious to know your thoughts. What did you like or dislike. (My cringe-worthy moment was during the end credits if you can stand sitting through it)
