A bouncer with a slightly murderous anger-management problem that she controls with the help of an electrode-lined vest she uses to shock herself back to normalcy whenever she gets homicidal. After the first guy she's ever fallen for is murdered, she goes on a revenge-fueled rampage to find the killer while the cops pursue her as their chief suspect.
When all else fails, turn to revenge as the driver of the story. Here is an interesting take on the revenge genre. Kate Beckinsale has given us lots of action movies in the past, and for the most part, they have been tolerable and some even good (the original Underworld movie not the endless sequels and prequels). This one kinda falls into the middle for me. There were some good action sequences and fight scenes, but I just never really cared about the characters....at all. When the movie ended I almost immediately forgot it. Not good. I was very surprised to see Stanley Tucci in this movie and liked his character, but still not enough for me to recommend this one as a good action flick. If you are bored on a Sunday afternoon give it a watch and let me know your thoughts.
