A fantasy re-telling of the medieval story of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is a late 14th-century Middle English chivalric romance. The author is unknown; the title was given centuries later. It is one of the best-known Arthurian stories, with its plot combining two types of folk motifs, the beheading game and the exchange of winnings.
This is another example of a movie I felt had so much potential and underdelivers. The movie is beautifully filmed and the imagery is fantastic. Somewhere along the way it turned into an artistic expression rather than telling a compelling story. So many things happened that were not explained and made little sense. There were long periods of the film that had no talking or score so it seemed slow for tempo. I think this one had so much potential and just fell short in my mind.
